Our company began operations in December 2021, when the Energy Business Division was separated from Showa Denko Materials (now Resonac). The origin of our business traces back to the former Shin-Kobe Electric Machinery Co., Ltd., which has over 100 years of history in manufacturing and selling lead-acid batteries. Alongside industrial and automotive lead-acid batteries, we have contributed to the mobility and social infrastructure sectors through a wide range of energy-related products, including power supply systems, golf carts, and monitoring devices.

Lead-acid batteries are energy devices well-suited for a decarbonized and circular society, as all components—including the container—can be recycled, and the use of regenerated lead helps reduce CO₂ emissions. As environmental changes such as global warming accelerate, efforts toward achieving a zero-emission society have become increasingly important. With our long-cultivated technologies related to lead-acid batteries, we believe that our opportunities to contribute to a zero-emission future will continue to expand.

Our corporate philosophy states:
“By adding new ideas to storage batteries and pursuing uncompromising quality, we provide safety and peace of mind as a proposal-based energy storage solution provider you can rely on.”
By equipping batteries with monitoring devices, we offer services that support proper operation and longer battery life. Through our commitment to manufacturing quality, we work to reduce waste and improve recycling rates in collaboration with our stakeholders. We also provide environmentally friendly electric golf carts and storage-battery-based solutions in the renewable energy field, contributing to both the global environment and society.

The Energywith Group has set medium-term GHG emission reduction targets through 2030 and has obtained SBTi approval. We have also declared our commitment to achieving carbon neutrality for Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions by 2050. We will continue promoting initiatives such as transitioning from fossil fuels to green electricity, expanding the use of renewable energy, and shifting to manufacturing methods that reduce CO₂ emissions to steadily reduce GHG emissions.

Leveraging the storage-battery technologies we have cultivated over many decades, the Energywith Group will continue striving to become a company that delivers solutions and contributes to building a safe and secure society for people around the world.

Message from the Executive in Charge of Sustainability

Senior Corporate Officer
Head of Environment, Safety & Quality Assurance Division
Hiroaki Yamaguchi

In recent years, global challenges such as climate change, resource depletion, and human rights issues have become critical concerns that must be addressed to ensure that humanity can continue to enjoy safe and stable lives into the future. To fulfill our mission of “providing safety and peace of mind,” the Energywith Group is advancing initiatives that contribute to society through our business activities.

Our core products—lead-acid batteries—have been manufactured and supplied for over 100 years. Although lead is known as a hazardous substance, when handled properly, it enables us to deliver safe and reliable products to society. To help realize a sustainable society, we work to increase lead recycling rates and promote more efficient use of resources. In addition, by enhancing our energy-storage technologies—which play a key role in decarbonization—we aim to contribute to GHG reduction and consequently society through a range of products and services.

Beyond environmental initiatives, we are also strengthening our business foundation through efforts focused on human rights, creating a comfortable working environment, and ensuring occupational safety and health. The Energywith Group has established its own Code of Conduct and behavioral guidelines, and through ongoing dialogue with employees and training, we work to ensure understanding and adherence to human rights, legal compliance, and fair and ethical business practices.

We position workplace safety and health as our top priority and are implementing group-wide initiatives to eliminate occupational accidents and create a safe and secure working environment. Our most important internal meeting, the Environment, Safety & CSR Committee, is held quarterly to review activities, discuss improvement measures, and enhance awareness and performance across all employees.

The Energywith Group will continue to advance these initiatives, aiming for a higher standard of corporate management as a truly sustainable company and contributing to society through our ongoing commitment.
