Energywith Co., Ltd. was established in 2021 and succeeds the Energy Storage Devices and Systems Business in Showa Denko Materials Co., Ltd. as a specialized manufacturer of Energy Storage Devices and Systems in order to realize further growth and SDGs with AP Funds^*1 and Tokyo Century Corporation as new partners.
Furthermore, CSB^*2 in Taiwan, TES^*3 in Thailand, as foreign group subsidiaries, and ESSJ^*4 as a domestic subsidiary, also became independent from Showa Denko Materials Co., Ltd group, and join the Energywith Co., Ltd. Group at the same time.
Our group will use Energywith Co., Ltd as the central player, aiming to realize global synergy by building a common platform for Procurement, R&D, Production, and Sales.
We have been manufacturing and selling automotive batteries and industrial lead-acid batteries for more than 100 years. In addition to lead-acid batteries, we are also developing a lineup of products that utilize storage battery technology, such as monitoring devices that detect the status of storage batteries, power supply systems that supply power from storage batteries in an emergency, and golf carts.

In the future, by adding “new wisdom” through collaboration with new partners and stakeholders, we will enhance our ability to “make the most of energy’’ and shift our business model from selling “things” (manufacturing and sales of lead-acid batteries, which has been our main business), to selling “systems”, providing total solutions from installation to maintenance and inspection. In other words, by pursuing a “commitment to quality” and proactively proposing optimal solutions to customers’ problems, we aim to evolve from a specialized manufacturer of storage batteries to a “proposal-based” energy storage solutions company.

At present, the importance of solving social energy issues, such as the realization of a decarbonized society, continues to increase not only in Japan but also throughout the world. In response to these issues, as our company¸ name suggests, we will contribute to the creation of a sustainable society by fulfilling our social responsibilities as a corporation, keeping in mind the concept of “with energy”. We will also make daily efforts to become a company that is well known and well trusted by all of our stakeholders.
