Flow for Checking Exhaust Vent Cap and Vent Extension Tube

How to Install the Vent Extension Tube
1. Insert the vent extension tube into the L-shaped pipe of the vehicle-side vent tube.
(Figure 1)

2. Secure the angled portion of the vehicle-side vent tube’s L-shaped pipe to the vehicle harness or similar component using the included cable tie.
If the L-shaped pipe of the vehicle-side vent tube cannot reach the harness and cannot be secured, firmly fasten the L-shaped pipe to the battery body using tape or similar material.
(Figure 2)

3. Insert the L-shaped pipe of the vent extension tube into the right-side vent hole* of the battery.
After inserting, make sure that the L-shaped pipe of the vent extension tube is firmly inserted into the right-side vent hole of the battery.
(Figure 3)
If the vent extension tube hangs down excessively due to its length, cut the tube to an appropriate length using a cutter.
* When the battery terminals are facing you, the vent hole is located on the right side. (Figure 4)
